Spain-based leather company PielColor has opened a new headquarters in Guangzhou, China. The site will also be the main testing laboratory for China.
On opening the new premises, Stahl CEO, Huub van Beijeran, said: "Today, PielColor is a Chinese company." He explains that PielColor, which is now part of the Stahl group, remains a separate company operating under its own name. However, the two companies will share some facilities, including Stahl's recently opened distribution facility just outside Shanghai. Mr van Beijeran says PielColor has been building up a healthy customer base within China and PielColor's key account manager, Mah Gim Teng, said the company has a team of technicians in China to help customers on site. If this was not sufficient, the problem would be referred to the new Guangzhou laboratory. If the problem still remained unresolved it would be sent on to Spain for further tests.
