Cherokee Inc announced that it intends to explore strategic alternatives to increase shareholder value, including among others, a possible sale of the Company. The Company has retained Goldman, Sachs & Co. as its financial advisor to evaluate and assist with this process.
There can be no assurance regarding the timing of, or whether, this process will result in any sale or other transaction. The Company does not intend to provide updates or make any further comment until its Board of Directors has approved a definitive transaction, if that occurs.
Cherokee Inc, based in Van Nuys, is a marketer, licensor and manager of a variety of brands it owns (Cherokee, Sideout, Carole Little and others) and represents. Currently, Cherokee has licensing agreements in a number of categories, including family apparel, fashion accessories and footwear, as well as home furnishings and recreational products. |
